First stop: breakfast at the Albion. Next up: a fresh lunch at Rochelle Canteen and to finish in style: wondelful dinner at Ottolenghi. The best dessert I have ever tasted! I love to bring home edible souvenirs, especially when they're packed so nice.

It was my last week of vacation, spent the majority of my time doing nothing :-)
waking up, eating sour cream pancakes for breakfast, riding my bike and watching tons of movies.

Oh and I ordered this colorful paper by the clever Rhiannon Silver. There's a lot of pages to scroll on her fantastic image blog "Intelligent Clashing", I never get tired of it. I just love her selections of found images.

back from a weekend in sunny Rome. Aah definitely my favorite city in the whole world right now. Lots of good food, we even ate more then 3 times a day ! Aahh and the surroundings were so beautiful, It felt like we were walking through a movie set.
But now back to reality...

Did you see the new Terrence Malick movie? "Tree of life" left me puzzled, I'm not sure what to make of it. It didn't blow me away like his other films. But ofcourse his shots are really spectacular. The New World is still my absolute favorite.

I know I haven't been keeping up with my blog lately, it was time to switch off that computer and start on new jewelry. Hope the weekend treated you good. Antwerp was all about the opening of a new museum "MAS" , you couldn't miss the spectacular fireworks here, I almost had to wipe a tear from my eye :-)
No firework pictures, unfortunately they came out all blurry.

I'm also re-doing my kitchen a bit. So I was happy to find that lovely chair just outside a dumpster.

Have I told you I'm following jewerly classes? It's a fun course and very productive. Something totally different what I do in my spare time, but I think it's a good way to improve on my jewelry making skills. Oh.. we will see.
I'm hoping between work and school I find the time to finish a new collection and do a shop update soon.

The rug I bought on etsy arrived today and I very pleased with it, it's really stunning. These I like too.

and my cabinet is finally finished. Thanks for the color tips! It was a neck-on-neck race between yellow and grey. So I decided to go with grey :-) Next a bright yellow cabinet for the kitchen..

something totally different: two of my favorite musicians have started a blog about crème brûlée. This is interesting :-)

My last day of vacation was well spent. It feels nice to wake up in a new place. We still have a lot of work decorating the appartment, but that's the fun part, isn't it?
My glitter top I wear every new year's eve goes back in the closet until next year. I'm happy to show you the new bracelet I got from this etsy store.

Last night we watched another fine movie "The Black Swan" with Natalie Portman, it really gets under your skin. Especially the make-up was amazing. You have to see it! I also enjoyed the yumminess of mister Cassel :-)

Enjoy the new year with our 2011 wall calendar!

I've been wanting to try screenprinting for a long time. A calendar for the new year seemed like the perfect upportunity. With more than a little help from my trusty side kick Rienk, I think I did a pretty good job.
We printed all day long and even forgot about the freezing cold outside. The result -as shown in the pictures- is a two-colored poster, size 36,5 cm X 55 cm. It will be for sale in my webshop tomorrow (sunday!) for only 8 euro/ $10 it can be on your wall!

Spend a day in Amsterdam with my mum. Wonderful food everywhere, on saturday we went to this bio-market on the Noordermarkt, I just went nuts! Strongly recommended! And had some of the best food at this place called Foodware. I go there everytime, please check out the lasagna :) check there website here.

Although being on an airplane freaks me out, Rienk and I travelled quite a lot of miles this week.
First we headed off to beautiful Sweden, for a short visit of it's capital: Stockholm.
Unfortunally we were let down by the weather. But in spite off the grey skies and heavy rain, we made the best of it!
We rented bikes and explored some of the islands. I particularly liked Långholmen with it's wooden houses, small boats and green surroundings. All this just a bridge away from the hipness of Södermalm. Stockholm we will return!

Next stop: La France!

After my vacation I'll be selling this lovely A.P.C top (size M) and a few other secondhand clothes of mine soon on etsy. My absolute favorite moment of summer, is my first strawberry ! Got a little strawberry plant myself. Personally, I don’t believe a strawberry will pop out one day :-), I'm actually really bad in keeping plants alive. It is really a challenge for me.

A few pics of new things: I'm loving this enormous print that I bought from Debbie Carlos , I found her shop true the lovely Kate Miss. It will be perfect hanging against my wall +in the second pic a Mieke Willems bag that I carry with me all the time.

In one week I have vacation, two little city trips coming up and working on a new big shop update (somewhere mid-august). I will be making double ones from the last collection and some new. But first some relaxing and preparing myself for a long summer holiday!

Making changes in my home + bought yellow fabric for a cushion + new china from Habitat ( thanks to Mieke).

And we finally booked our holiday to Stockholm. I'm so thrilled! We are staying at this unique place called The Langholmen Hotel, look here!, which is an old prison that has been converted into a Hostel/Hotel. A bit ironic though, to spend vacation in jail. I like it when they say peaceful surroundings on their website.
So all you bloggers from Stockholm! always happy with some nice tips...:-)

It has been forever that I posted something new. Always fun to sit back and relaxs behind my computer and watch all the new post items on my favorite blogs. Thank you all for those sweet good lucks !
